Go ahead and try the 2000, can't hurt.

Yes the swr meter will be accurate after tuning, you adjust it every time you use it.

Jason's Firestick got him 35 miles as the crow flies with 4 watts over two mountains with no problems to my mobile receiver, so I don't see any point in wasting money on the Wilson antenna unless you like to spend money.

I had my cb checked by another shop..he said everything looks good..running at 20 watts. Recommended a Browning coil antenna. Br-78. I put it on, ill know tomorrow how well it works..only a single antenna, but in may when i get my new truck i will be buying a second one. If im still having issues then i know the wiring in the truck is screwed up.

It seemed to help a little..i think its the wiring in the truck..i think the last driver screwed it up when he chopped it to split the right side off for tv coax. I will definitely knownin May when i get my new truck and get a second browning antenna.
