My tarps are American made with American materials. 16x28 and a 16x24 and they are really nice. They came from Zamzow in St. Louis

Peaks says all their stuff is American, materials and labor?

Bought a set of 8' from peaks. They weigh less than my 4'. Now only carry 8' but that may go away once I pick-up new step.
skellr Thanks this. -
The Guys I'm loOking at signing on with want 10 ft drops. All step work I guess. Wife wants me to stay where I am less $$$ but more home time... The debate is on. Lol. "happy wife happy life....." is what the old man keeps telling me....

I also get time to still keep my hand in the audio world. I still have a couple clients that only want me doing their gigs so I can get home to do that. Doing a corporate gig tonight. PA and lights are flown sound check done waiting for the night to start. Dinner, awards, comedian, band.Attached Files:

For those that have the peaks condura tarps.
Manufacture lists aswater resistant. Do they ever soak through? I'm interested about getting them but if I'm trying to prevent something from getting wet what is the point? Please advise.Boardhauler Thanks this. -
Update! I ordered from mytee6 foot drop tarps 14 oz super light. They should be delivered to the yard in the next couple days. I think they're like 63 pounds a piece.

Wish I still had them. I'll do some research back through the old records and see if I can find who made them, but they were a military type grade 18 gauge on top, and a Gortex tear resistant 13 gauge on the side.
They were 25 an 30 with 4 sets of rings.
The 25 weighed about 45 lbs and the 30 was right around 52.
Use to catch them on the rail and the load all the time, and they were darn near impossible to tare.
The whole set brand new was right around 800. -
Mornin all. Getting ready to order a two piece tarp for my 25 foot hotshot $500.00) and I saw your light tarp post. I am a 63 yr old short female I am losing lots of loads (AKA money)because I do not have a tarp. I saw the post about the cordura and the parachute. The price and weight sound perfect. I just climbed out of a tanker after 10 years so this tarping is new to me. Any words of wisdom to help me out before I make my final decision would be greatly appreciated. thanks and be careful out there.

Call up tri city canvas in granite city near St. Louis. They make the tarps anyway you want and what’s great is you can go in to where they make the tarps and handle all the materials yourself so you can better decide on what to make your tarps with. I was going to go with parachute tarps but after talking with them and seeing all the materials first hand I’m so happy I didn’t. They have a nylon fabric backed with a coating to make it waterproof in 10 and 13 oz weight that is absolutely fantastic. It’s worth calling just for the knowledge.cke Thanks this.

I use a two piece a 2 piece lightweight 13oz. With the new gortex type lining just like boots and jackets, they are virtually tear resistant, water proof and best of all lightweight.
