Many of them will want to chew you and spit you out in the end. The loyalty and devotion is seldomly rewarded these days. Maybe I am wrong or had bad experiences, but the idea of working hard and being loyal to expect any rewards in the end never worked for me. Just a workhorse, when you are no longer needed, they'll recycle you for a soap.

Ask him how much his top drivers are making and how long before for you to top out with his company
....and then politely let him know you make a living with your license and you're not going to be taking any unessential risks
Hit him up for a big raise if he wants more speed

^It's always about $. Most outfits are afraid of money. Unless it's in their pocket. You get old and cranky with a low tolerance for stupid. Nothing really changes, especially in trucking. Different truck, different job, different place. Your still driving a truck.

Best to always try to keep a positive frame of mind
    " Additude is altitude "
Don't let em steal your joy joe
......They have to carry this filthy dishonest gain around with them in their hearts wherever they go
....but not you or me tall joe
Tho it's easy to feel chewed up and spit out we can walk around knowing we do what we have to do for the sake of our families or just for the sake of doing the right thing but not them
Because of this iniquity in their hearts they can be expecting a rotten crop and the money is not going to be able to fix it for them

    G13Tomcat Thanks this.

Uh ohh. We've got a "truther" in the house. He's using the Brett Aquila tag lines and everything. Someone drank the kool aid. ;-) Just kidding ya man- but they do have buzz words over there that ya can't help but spot.

There is a difference between "whining" and protecting your CDL. Sure, it's a fine line and I'm not sure which one applies in this case. But there are definitely times when you have to put your foot down with your company. To just assume anyone that doesn't do as they're told, in the name of being a "top tier driver" with their company, is nothing more than a whiner isn't exactly fair.
