Anheuser-Busch (Euronext Brussels: ABI-BE) hauled a trailer loaded with beer 120 miles in an autonomous-drive truck, completing what's believed to be the first commercial shipment by a self-driving vehicle.
The trip happened last week in Colorado as Anheuser-Busch, collaborated with Otto, a subsidiary of Uber that is developing self-driving truck technology. The semi drove autonomously

There's a couple of mega companies that already have driverless trucks.

The robots are coming. The robot trucks, that is. Trucks that drive themselves. The first delivery has already been made. A load of beer from Fort Collins Budweiser down to Colorado Springs, back in October 2016. Remember that the next time your company tries to scare you into thinking you have no power. Now is the time drivers can stand up and get what they want. With robot drivers coming, who in the hell is going to go to truck driving school? I sure as hell wouldn't. Go to a school that may require several thousands in tuition (which I wouldn't pay either way) just to learn a skill that will be obsolete in a few years? Just to learn how to do a job that I'll get laid off from when the robot drives into the terminal? No way. People are not going to go to any truck driving schools as the robots come closer to driving into that lot. That means we who have the CDLs have power now. The old turnover game is dead if nobody is going to truck driving school anymore. So current drivers have a lot more power than they are led to believe they have. Now's the time to demand that raise, demand that home time, demand better routes and equipment. You now have the power to get it.
