I sometimes use both Garmin and the trucks navigation program seeing as my GPS usually is able to find some places my trucks nav isn't able to find.

But the plus side of your truck coming with navigation program is you won't have to invest in a GPS .

At my last OTR job, the trucks had navigo built into the Qualcomm. It worked great. I never had any issues with it. Up until I got that truck I had never used any type of GPS system (just an atlas in conjunction with google maps), so I have no frame of reference to compare navigo with any other type of GPS.

My first driving job at tmc had navigo on the Qualcomm. It did alright. I eventually bought a Rand McNally and 720 and used copilot truck in conjunction with it. Navigo usually has rioting that's configured by the company. I found that Rand McNally and Co pilot did a better job at routing

Yep. I used paper city maps and atlases too decades ago. Glad those days are over. But every driver must carry a trucker atlas even if they have a GPS device.

But I've been out here long enough, I will rarely feel the need to open up the atlas

    Big Don Thanks this.
