I just went by there today. They have a lot of empty trucks sitting there.

 

simplyred if your son is on a truck here at prime and this is going on tell him he needs to let someone in saftey no about it . i ve been with prime for along time and well its not the norm here it does happen . tell him to call asap and let someone know if he doesnt want to go into specifics just tell them he needs a differnt trainer as its not working out. they will not hold it against him. i had a young guy on my truck that i felt just wasnt going to cut it . i tryed over and over to help him but no way i talked with him and fianilly he told me he wasnt comfortable with me that we were moving to fast in his training and that he felt he needed a slower pased truck i told him fine no problem got threw to shop he got differnt trainer. no harm done . i see him now and hes ok we talk and laugh about things just wasnt the right fit for him it happens.but what your saying is illegal at best and very dangerous he really needs to let someone know whats up.

 

Yes sir those were all solo miles no training. I have only had 4 log violations since I got here. 1 was legitimately that I ran past my 14 hour day. The other three happened on consecutive days and were 70 hr violations because I made a mistake adding up my hours for 1 day. It was slow in the winter but spring is here and it is starting to kick again. I am in the northeast now and getting some good short runs. Example; the run I just finished was 17 mi deadhead and 127 mi loaded. 41000 pounds. $454.00 in revenue.

Prime is a great place to work as a lease operator IF you are willing to work smarter AND harder. Gotta pay attention to everything but if you do it will pay off.

 

AJ considered asking for another trainer,but he is so close to the end, he feels like he should stick it out. His Dad and I have tried to talk him into turning this menace-behind-the-wheel in,but he doesn't want to feel responsible for the guy getting fired.
