i grease mine every week use red high temp grease, yeah there is some flung up on the frame but that's a lot better than a driveshaft flung against the frame.

I had a ujoint give out 1000k after they installed it. The drives haft whipped around and ripped open both fuel tanks just as I was crossing a major double lane highway.

Oxbow, OLDSKOOLERnWV and Ezrider_48501 Thank this.

Somewhere at the bottom of Highway 63, there's a red interaxle driveshaft out in the weeds. I don't believe we ever found it lol.

I like non greasable but I had this conversation with a old timer and he makes a good point.

He said he can't remember the last ujoint he blew out, he usually no I'm rices they are going bad while under the truck greasing. Either a cap is spun or it gets harder to take grease or grease won't come out of one cap or one cap is warmer than the rest.

He asked..... do you think guys with non greasables even go under to check? They can only tell it's bad if it spun a cap or blew out.

Ya me too. My 03 Columbia didn't need grease, nor did my 14 volvo. My 99 9300 did, my 06 volvo did , my 08 389 and prostar do.

Same as spring bushings. Some do and some don't. It's a option when you spec the truck new, most like non greasing

    mhyn Thanks this.
