Not even maybe... pull their air hose & cross them putting them on the wrong sides & then pull their fifth wheel pin? <sigh>

    NopE!

Well, ............ crossin' the air lines ----- maybe.
I've had that done to me as a prank and I figured it out
pretty quick. That caused me to check EVERYthing again
just to be certain that's as far as the prank went.

But I would NEVER recommend unlocking the kingpin. :biggrin_25512:
I've seen the AfterMath (no relationship) of that,
and a trailer layin' on it's side ain't pretty.
It's heavy recovery time, which doesn't come cheaply.

You see, it's much easier for me to remember NEVER,
than which pranks are acceptable and which aren't.
I play it safe and just NEVER mess with ANY other
    Big trucks.

Such a simple rule --- but it has served me well.
And others as well, I'm sure.

I know you know that, User Name, and you're just
    pushin' my leg. :biggrin_25525:

But it's true . Ask any driver driving in states with a 55 m.p.h, speed limit how many times they've been passed by a U.S. Xpress truck and how many U.S.Xpress trucks they've seen in the right lane . In most cases I could care less who's running the left lane but the president of U.S.Xpress is Pat Quinn , the ATA chairman that was preaching loudest about speeding when pushing the speed limiter petition in 2006 . Over 80% of "excessive speed " accidents occur under 65 m.p.h. by drivers driving like his drivers drive . Then while NHTSA is requesting comments on the speed limiter petition in 2006 U.S. Xpress is audited , fined for falsifying logs , and given a poor Safety Management SEA . Check their Safestat history . They also lost $2 million in the first quarter of 2007 . Quinn needs to clean his own house before anyone takes him seriously .

twice i have had someone unlock my tandems.i caught it once on pre-trip and the second time i did what i usually do,pull forward before trl brakes disengage.why would someone do that?probably a former disgruntled employee{of which the company at the time, usa, seems to have alot of}.but when you do that your hurting the drv.not just the company.

What Iroc did was the best thing to do. I have heard horry stories about drivers, loosing their trailers because someone pulled the fifth wheel lever. I never had this happen (former swift driver) because I would alwasy check before I left any yard or TS...

There's an easy way to handle the fifth wheel problem. Just pull against it with the trailer brakes set like you're doing a tug test, and then pop the tractor brakes. King Kong might not be be able to unlatch your fifth wheel then. Try it yourself and see.

    PappyGT13 Thanks this.
