    @rollin coal

    I looked into DAT power. Talked with a few people. All said its good. But mainly for vans. Not so much for open deck. Plus $300 is kinda pricey to experiment.

    I may still try it when things slow down. But definitely not right now.

    Thanks.

    The fact that you knowingly allow drivers/companies who run like that to pull your loads speaks volumes to me.

    As of this moment,.. you have lost all respect from me.

    It's $149. The $300 package is for a larger carrier with multiple trucks and has features you won't need. The $149 version is the best bang for your buck for 1 truck guys. It's great for reefer and van. Probably depending on the area flats too.

    when i have hundreds of loads a weel that must go what do you suggest i do? cal customer and give loads back. If they run illegal thats on them as long as they have no accidents we are good.

    If you knowingly allow it to happen, you'll be on the hook too. Just ask CH Robinson.

    Yep that's really risky business. That you knowingly do this with a wink and a nod admitting all is well if they don't wreck.. Hope your company has very deep pockets when one of them does kill somebody. The days of brokers not being held liable are in the past.

    Its all fun and games till someone loses an eye,.. or wife/daughter.

    Pay more to attract quality drivers/companies. Develop some integrity and principles. Grow some balls.

    I refuse to pull for brokers that I have black listed. I'll sit all weekend or days before pull a load for them. Its a matter of principle and self respect for me. I am not in a position where I am financially desperate to pull their loads. I have earned this level by practicing self discipline and holding myself to a higher standard.

    If brokers used the same mentality (And there are brokers who wouldnt spit on the companies/drivers that run like what you described) it would help curb the ones who do by hurting their pocket. If you enable someone to run like that, then they will continue to put everyone at risk. And if/when they do kill someone, you are just as guilty in my opinion.

    This industry already has enough problems with public perception of what we do and how we are. I dont like being regulated and restricted because I am looked at as a dangerous person. And thats how many see us.

    The guy thinks 95 cpm is a good rate. You don't really think he cares about if his carriers operate legal or not do ya?

    look when I tender a load its under the assumption they have enough hours. when they tell me they drove 850 miles in 14 hours thats on them. I do not ask anyone and I always make appointments accordinly. If they get there early thats on them i do not pay them more to deliver sooner
