    I don't argue that drivers take it. Why they take it is anyone's guess. Just for Schlitz and giggles. What does that run pay gross? I'm guessing your making a buck a mile off it.

    I made 48 bucks and 60 cents on it. Howver only reason I took them is with the understanding i will get to keep the rate in place all produce season going into florida. she agreed so ill make next to nothing for another 2 weeks but gotta grow accounts somehow. Plus I been making about 200 bucks a load on flatbeds out of alabama so it works out.

    gotta grow a account somehow and offering high rates will not get us loads in future.

    Thanks for the honest answer. On the same note offering low rates and sending in a sub par carrier loses accounts. That's all I'm trying to convey. Plus if who ever eff'd up on you fla. load it's not worth the 48.60 you made to clean up the mess.

    thats true but my mentality is customers get 100 hundred calls a day and the only way whether they call us or we call them the only way to really stand out is response time and rates.

    say what you will but alot of customrs only care about rates

    take example Customer Toufayan out of Orlando. she accidenly ccd all her brokers on a email and she had 472 brokers on her chain. SHE RUINS RATES JUST AS MUCH AS BROKERS.

    we all kept "REPLYING ALL" AND RUINED HER DAY LOL. but customers like that are more and more nowadays .

    Others here are a little more reserved at expressing their feelings openly here on TTR. I know they share my opinions and feelings.

    I've always been the black sheep of TTR. They all know I'll speak my mind.

    I am sure I am the only broker you hate. Come do my job for a day. Come make 500 cold calls a week while tryting to become top dog at the company. You have no idea what we do all day. I have drivers who take less to run with me because they know I always pay detention waiting and unloading. I always take calls no matter the time and issue comchecks and do not ignore calls.

    I have my base guys who call me or my assistants and give us first dips and I actualy educate them on markets depending where they are.

    It depends on the commodity shipped. Yes, most van shippers and a few flat shippers take this view. That's a big reason I moved out of those markets. I don't want to work with someone who doesn't value anything but a nickel.
