Congratulations to you sir. For the million miles but especially for the 100 pounds. About 6 or so years ago I was up to 275 and was able to get down to 190-195, so I know just how hard it had to be to do.

Best of luck moving forward in the miles and pounds (or lack thereof).

Congratulations on the million miles. And your weight loss while driving is darn impressive. When I was OTR I noticed food was one of the few comforts that were available. You have to eat and eating could feel really good. But like anything I would eat too much, eat too often, or eat when I was feeling sorry for myself. My guilty pleasure was the Loves West of OKC that had a Grandy's restaurant beside it. I loved their chicken fried steak and those rolls. I always bought a dozen rolls to take with me. nom, nom, nom.

I stopped looking at food as comfort and as just a necessity. If you eat a tiny bit less each day you can make changes and hardly ever miss it. Another trick is to eat exactly the same thing every day until you are so bored with it you'd rather starve. I think this is half the reason the Subway diet works. The boredom turns to eating less of it.

Meh! I love food too much. WAY to much. Planning it, preparing it, cooking it, eating it! I gave up smoking. I (pretty much,) gave up drinking, except for the occasional bender, but I won't mention that. I'll be darned if I'm gonna give up food too.
But honestly I can see the point you are making there. I just don't believe I could do it. OK, I better clarify that. I can see the cutting down a little bit each day. But I can't see eating the same thing until I'm bored with it.

And you forgot to mention the most important million gallons. :pottytrain3:
