I hear you. I applied in the middle of January and just got The orientation date today.

Hang in there and be patient.Do whatever you have to do to get a job with Walmart.

Dang I think this may be the longest run I have had at Walmart lol Katy Texas to Hattiesburg Mississippi

 

Only bringing this back up from last month after I recently renewed my license and hazmat endorsement.

I went to DPS on Friday March 10, 2017 to renew my CDL and hazmat endorsement. I passed the test and received my new CDL with my hazmat renewal good for 90 days to allow for the background check to be completed. I arrived before DPS opened and still had 18 people ahead of me. I was still done and out of here within 90 minutes.

On Tuesday March 14, 2017, I went to the fingerprinting site to initiate the DHS background check. Was here for only 6 minutes.

On Monday March 20, 2017, I received a letter from DHS stating my background check is complete and my hazmat endorsement has been renewed for 5 years. This was the quickest I have ever had my hazmat renewal processed. It has usually taken about 30 days.

I think the 120 day grace period Walmart is giving new drivers is certainly more than enough time.

 

Dodge City, KS to OKC to Palestine, TX has been my longest single day run so far - 607 miles.

You don't make as much money on those, but it's nice to "stretch out" every once in awhile. It was a nice break from Dallas/Houston.
