I'm so sick of hearing this BS argument from right-wingers. Why do you think we have judges? They are there to interpret the law because when you write a law you cannot account for every possible contingency. If you want them just to sit there and do nothing beyond the scope of reading what the legislature wrote then there's no point in even having judges. The fact is this decision required seven judges and six of them disagreed with this "so called" judge.

They interpret whether or not the law applies. It clearly doesnt.

If the lae could protect every tom dick and ####### from being fired for stupidity, there would never be any job openings. It was not, repeat NOT a life or death. He chose to pull off, he chose to shut the truck off, he chose to not call a cab. Even when his "cousin" called, his cousin if he really cared about him, should have told him to call a ambulance or a cab. NOT drive with the symptoms of being drunk. Hes a loser looking for money, and he got it because of people like you midnight

Can't improve on what you said. But, why didn't he idle and run the heat when he woke up "freezing"?

Evidently not with six out of seven judges ruling for the driver.

Boo Hoo for Trans Am. If every mega company that treats their drivers like crap got sued out of existence I wouldn't shed a tear.

Looks like a lot of common sense, might be able to get senators up to speed. I even carry extra gear in my pov. The rule makers,(congress) after all are doing hos laws , fuel tax, e-log, because of some of these types of drivers. We are all supposed to be in safe vehicles. I feel that the bunk heater should have been operating properly.

Ok, look at it like this, a bunk heater in winter could be seen as necessary equipment. If he said, i wont drive it unless you fix it. That could be interpreted as under the protection of the whistleblower protection law. But thats not what he did.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.
