it could be easily fixed if the people of this country came together and stood together to change whats wrong, but, we find it easier to belly-ache than to change things.
if the drivers of this country banded together, the changes that could be made would suprise you.........
we are the economy of this country, we can wield a great power if we wanted to, but
we don't, we waste it.
and that is also due to the fact that we have no great leaders and people to champion the working mans issues.
better to stay poor and hungry than to challenge the existing ruling forces.
if one day we decided to stand up and demand our rights for fair wages ...
i would be one of the first into the trenches getting ready for the fight,
you cannot gain something unless you are willing to risk something.......... -

As of mid-November 2007- Filed January 2003 in Circuit Court, Greene County, MO. This case challenges the carriers practice of charging owner-operators for workers comp insurance. It was dismissed by the original trial court, but OOIDA appealed.
The Missouri Court of Appeals agreed that the case should be tried. It is now back before a Missouri Circuit Court. The case is moving forward with individual named plaintiffs, and OOIDA has requested a 2008 trial.

Wolves in sheeps clothing!!! I would never work for a company that tries to act all churchy. Every servant is worthy of his hire. Honest days work for an honest days pay and any true Christian wouldn't have to paste verses and symbols all over their logos because a true Christian doesn't need to. They do the right thing and people see it and know it, they don't need to advertise. -
amen brother!

After 1 fiasco with my first CDL instructor I got an outstanding one with 35+ years in the business who to this day is one trucker that I have nothing but respect for, during my time with him I was a CDL student and so hometime was not condusive to my training and besides he lived in Idaho and I lived in Virginia on the east coast and he said he hasnt run the east coast in probaly 15 years and refuses too so. When I was with my trainer (the gay porn watching homosexual, mentally deranged guy who like smelling womens panties and clothes and wearing them) he lived in Colorado and once again I was in VA and he said he only comes to deliver on the east coast and get out he doesnt go north and south along that side of the nation so that pretty much sealed my hometime.
In short the bottom line is if you really really really want to just run home after a month or so and delay your training and such then request specifics when it comes to the last day of orientation about who your trainer is. Just to let you know dont go complaining if you are waiting for days or weeks for a trainer and if you do get one and do get home time dont be surprised if it leaves you stuck at home for awhile before prime gets that driver routed back your way.
Prime is not my cup of tea but I have found they are not as bad as most and if you are business savy then you can make a pretty decent living with them while still having a home life. If you dont care about being at home and just stay out and use good business sense then you can really really make good with them. It is your choice, I would not go back to them but at the same time I am going to keep my mind open and objective to them and what they offer as I am not a negative person in live. -
Funny.....I've been back at Prime since June 07.....And have NEVER gotten a QC message that had anything to do with religion. Nor, have I ever heard any phone messages that made any reference to religion. What I DO know is the fact thay my wife and I have made more money since she got her CDL and joined me than we have ever made in a years time......EVER.
Now....are there bad trainers at Prime.....Yes. Not many....but a few. Are there bad trainers at EVERY other company that trains drivers? Yes....it's that simple. Some people should never be put in a position to train ANYBODY.
Do people fail at Prime? Yes. Do people fail at other companies? Yes. Do people fail on their own? YES. Once again.....NO company is going to guarantee your success. Prime doesn't guarantee your success.....They will try to help you succeed. But, SOME people will never make it in the business world.
No company is perfect. That's why there are so many of them out here. If Prime Lease Ops weren't making money......there wouldn't be so many of us out here that have been at it for more than a couple of months. It's all what you make of it. And some just aren't cut out for it. Simple as that.
Sorry you couldn't make it home. I'd say that had more to do with your trainer than anything. I'd be willing to bet that your FM didn't know there was a problem until you had already made up your mind. Too bad, too. This really is a place where a man or woman can go to make a good living.BigKahunaFL, Drive-a-Mack and Nomadbeginner Thank this.
