    #### wish I would've thought of that. I have several cans some where. Stuff works good a lube and doesn't attract dirt

Soaking chains and binders in diesel or kerosene works wonders. Cleans all the gunk and rust off. May take a while to get in and loosen things up, but after you can keep them up with a good spray.

Every year, before and after chain season, I do the tire chains like that as well.

I use pb blaster everytime I put them away and close the up. I was buying it myself until I found out ta carries it. Now it goes on the fuel card.

As for the tire chains, they just sit in my box till may. Then they'll sit in the shop till September. Rinse and repeat.

Used to get PJ1 chain lube for the ratchet binders and portables. It is good stuff, very water resistant. The problem I was having with it was the grime it seemed to collect.

My ratchets get lubed everytime I use them.
My snaps get sticky once in a while from the road grime, about the best you can do is hit them with PB Blaster to remove the gunk, but there's really not much to do with them, other than making sure they aren't bent.
