    ^^^^^ These last two posts... ain't THAT the truth. Cabovers were definitely easier to work on, though. Less creature comforts, but we didn't even CARE (or know!) about any of that. It was about getting the JOB done~!

    I drive a daycab, spring ride single screw too. I pull a 45' liftgate with it every day, and pups with it sometimes on weekends. ;)

    I drive a 17 kw t680 with air ride everything full infotainment system apu with so many creature comforts I can't use them all and I drive it day after day after day can I get my complainer badge now?

    Well it was a long flight.... and then I had to wait for a tcheck be use they forgot to pay for the repairs..... and then oh god I had to actually drive the thing somewhere....just a total nightmare

    Old school drivers... well, it helped some that you got paid for the work that you did, and that regulators stayed off your backs, in general, as compared to today.

    Note that a lot of today's drivers' complaints have their roots in yesterday's drivers' behavior. So before you decide that they're all pansies, consider how much coke you were on, when you drove to the moon and back in three days, uphill in both directions... :p

    I remember in the mid nineties while I was driving those 1980's orange cabovers I would see those super truckers pass me by with their conventionals and I would say to myself, "Someday..."
