Just get a refrigerated Coleman cooler and sleeping bag or use two throw blankets during the summer months. I did P&D also before this. I'm not making the money I expected but the job is much less stressful than working in the city. Get some storage bins for all your stuff and carry some tools. Travel light because you could see up to 3 trucks a week.Lardfast Thanks this.

really hope i get that second phone call this week. im ready to get this done. this waiting game totally sucks.

Welcome aboard and congratulations.
When I was slipping seating, and even still true today, I have a sleeping bag, small blanket, and pillow rolled up together, a large duffel bag with clothes and I hang up uniform shirts in the truck's closet, small duffel bag for taking a shower, a tactical bag filled with misc tools and electronics, and my Engel 40 quart refrigerator/freezer. Some guys like those cheap unreliable Coleman/Igloo thermoelectric coolers. I prefer the real thing. They cost more, but are far more reliable and use less power. They are also built to be rugged and withstand the vibrations of the truck rolling down the road. I just bought a second smaller Engel after seeing they are having a winter sale.
I could have all my gear moved from one truck to another in less than 10 minutes.

Do the trucks have inverters to run a microwave?

Yes but they have time limits. Once turned on it will work for 2 hours then cannot be turned back on for 8 hours.Lardfast, noninetofive and TomOfTx Thank this.

The longest for me so far was Spartanburg SC-Cullman AL. 398 miles. And then they sent me right back to Spartanburg.
