Hi new guy here I start may 1. I asked in another thread but thought I would try here. If I already have a cpap machine do the tractors have inverters to plug it into? And I've been a city driver for over 20 years so this otr stuff is new so what do you guys do to keep food cold when you slip seat 2 or 3 times a week.
Thanks

You can find what you need at www.cpap.com
As I said in the other thread, I prefer using an Engel refrigerator/freezer to keep food cold. Many of the newer trucks have refrigerators built in, yet I still prefer my Engel 40 quart. They cost more, but are much more reliable and built rugged for use on the truck. They also use less power than the Coleman/Igloo thermoelectric coolers too (0.7-2.7 amps versus 4.0 amps).
This is the model I have been using in the truck for several years.

I found with CPAP you can just get the 12v but depending on the truck setup and if you run humidifier the truck low voltage protection can cut the power on you. They also make rechargable battery backup for CPAP. You can also get cheap inverter.
Some trucks have apu so 12v plug is all you need. Some have nothing, so if you don't run humidifier then 12v is still ok. My truck has automatic engine start and stop so I needed the rechargeable backup battery to keep CPAP running every time engine starts -

I've been using the generic Walmart yeti clone cooler myself. Pack it with ice night before I leave home, top off at DC before I leave out for week. Lasts me 5 days. I cook my meals store in Mason jars, then microwave when needed.
