Yup have one in place, not my fault they are sleeping on the job, frankly i could care less as its one less thing to worry about.
-
Yea I think it is just about money and not safety anyway. Drivers are still out there doing the hard drugs.Heck why doesnt the 4 wheelers take drug test if its about safety??knighton5 and JolliRoger Thank this.
-
Thats the way i see it too, why not test the 4 wheelers, or better yet why doesent the dot crack down on some of these crap cars out there on the road with wheels falling off? But you have a 1/16" crack in your brake shoe linning and your are OOS.
-
Yea Texas has started the new Libility Ins.check on the spot.I remember the School bus driver raising all kinds of heck about testing.Makes you wonder? Now they are trying to ban cell phone use while driving but nothing has been said about School Bus Driver.

I liked pulling a reefer..... With ALL trucking you have to wait..... I pull a flatbed now but will probably go back to reefer.
-
Yep I have even had to wait on a few HOT Loads I guess to let them cool some.
-
True and I also had it get me by the many other trucks waiting at times also.
-
Yea so true.A big smile and say gee take your time I am in no hurry.Seems like they want to get you out faster then.
-
I have done flatbed, refer and dryvan. I like the flatbed for not having to wait as long to be loaded or unloaded, but then again tarping in high wind and coming off the trailer with the tarp is no fun i can attest to that, Then trying to tarp in the pouring rain and snow isnt fun either. Refer yea the motors on some of them can be noisey but heck its no different than living by train tracks or a busy highway,, you get used to it and you open the doors back up someone else loads it you pull up shut the doors and your off,, yea you have long wiat times and short wait times but even dryvan has the same problems,, i even had to sit a few times with flatbed, My brother was doing flatbed and fell off the trailer with the tarp even so landed on his feet he hurt his back and neck and has been off for the last 4 months or longer,, i think he will be ready for work tomm depending on the dr. all these have pluses and minuses, its to each theyr own on what they like and what they want,, its all in the decision of each driver.
