I can get the data tomorrow, and yes the people that I have talked to either LOVE the MX or they hate the MX its a mixed bag.
I have all the warranty work that has been done its just a matter of cherry picking thru the questions that you ask to me so I can give an accurate answer.
ISX or the MX 13?

I have 2015 isx with 300k no issue so far, it has lot power and gets good fuel mileage.
Dave_in_AZ and SoCal Trucker Thank this. -
Cm2350, had the updated pump, from the earlier cm2250 with the ceramic plungers (which can cause major issues if not updated with new pump) other major change with the later model cm2250/2350, is single cam, vs earlier ISX twin cam, later model doesn't have injector cam as they went common rail.
Dave_in_AZ, ChicagoJohn, spax and 1 other person Thank this. -
I wouldn't say it's super expensive. It's fairly expensive up front, but it's a one time fee. Compare that to Cummins Insite which needs to be renewed yearly and Insite will be more expensive after a couple years.
MX engine is made by DAF. It's not made by Cummins. Not sure where that information is coming from.
Certain components of the aftertreatment systems are made by CES - Cummins Emissions Solutions. Nox sensors, for examples.
Paccar does not make the PX engines. Cummins makes them and Paccar brands them. This is why the PX engines are still warranted through Cummins and not through Paccar.
@SoCal Trucker,
I don't know the VIN, but it's highly unlikely you can extend the warranty unless it's still within the base warranty. You may be able to purchase extended warranty, which I highly recommend for ALL trucks. One decent failure will pay for itself. If anyone reading this is debating on paying an extra $5,000 for extended warranty - don't be cheap. Buy it. You won't regret it.
There's no hard numbers - Paccar division might have something but that's unlikely. I do probably more warranty on Cummins engine than Paccar engine due to Cummins being more popular, but if I were to remove that from the equation I would say that it's a 50/50 split.
I can't call either one more reliable than the other. I've seen brand new Cummins engines fail and I've seen brand new MX engines fail. I've seen MX engines never once go down and I've seen Cummins engines never once go down. I've also seen Cummins engines down monthly, and I've seen MX engines down monthly.
Buy the engine that has the specs you want, the price you like and the service options that you can work with. For a lot of drivers - the MX hits 2/3 but there's not enough MX techs on the road for them. It's something that's still being worked on.
The MX is still a "new" engine. There's been several iterations - yes, but compared to Cummins, CAT or any of the others, it's a baby. Mid to large dealership groups will have multiple techs able to troubleshoot the engine but once you get further from them and start hitting the smaller dealerships you might find that they only have one tech that can work on it.
That's a problem I hear less of every day though. Paccar made a huge push to have ALL engine techs trained on the MX. It didn't matter if they were "MX techs" or not. If they worked on an engine they needed trained. It's made a difference and drivers should start seeing improvement as those newer MX techs gain experience.SoCal Trucker, KANSAS TRANSIT and daf105paccar Thank this. -

Didn't say Paccar "made" the PX engines, I said they "market" them.daf105paccar Thanks this. -
Valid point. I misread your statement. My apologies.daf105paccar and KANSAS TRANSIT Thank this. -
