    I did Family Dollar for a while, during my on-truck training. It was worth decent money, but it required that you be extremely good - or, at the very least, careful - at backing, and at navigating tight spaces. It also helped to know when the parking lots were empty, when traffic was light, and where the dock was, relative to the road. Sometimes the hard part was even just getting into the dock area...

    Also, when I did it, it was driver-assisted unload. The freight was in cages, and you had to roll the loaded cages off the truck, and roll the empties back on. It was sweaty, tiring work, but not particularly time-consuming, considering what they paid you for doing it. Nevertheless, it's not for everyone. But it was one of the better-paying gigs. Your mileage may vary... :)
