Ok, you will have to surrender your MD License (Whatever it is...) and get a AZ CDL after you successfully complete your testing. Obviously while you are still under a CDL Permit, a company person will drive you and the truck to the AZ testing area wherever that may be so you can take your offfical road test. Once you pass, you can drive the truck and person back to the yard and put the truck away and presumely begin your new journey into the rest of your new employment with Knight or whomever you hired onto.

With a permit you can only drive within the state that issued the permit; can't cross state lines.
I think Roehl Transport has cdl training in Phoenix. They actually pay you $500.00 weekly while in their school plus provide lodging and meals. They also do hair follicle drug test and so does Knight. Not sure about Contract Freighters drug test.
ABF in Phoenix has free cdl training if you want a Teamsters job and drive a day cab.Just passing by and x1Heavy Thank this. -
Your original post says you are now living in Maryland... maybe you may want to edit that to clear up all the confusion.x1Heavy Thanks this.

But we are going to get through this.V c2c, FireLotus and Just passing by Thank this. -
There's some food service companies that hire with only the permit. You must apply for "Driver Associate" or "Driver Helper" for those jobs. It's on the job training plus earning a paycheck at the same time.

Ok let me clarify. I'm in MD right now. This is usually my state of residence. I moved to AZ and had to come back for court. I technically live in AZ. I've drive otr already and I can drive I just don't wanna do two weeks in school when I have raod training already

You will likely see road training with a trainer. You might even be sent to school by a company that hired you.
What I am getting at is these days most drivers have training constantly in one form or another. It's not like in my time where I showed up off the street, talked to a hire man, took one of his trucks and drivers for a small trip to test me and sign papers to start my new job the next morning. Those days are gone forever.
Good luck with court.
one more thing. Before you go back home to Arizona,. Make #### sure your voting registration in Maryland is canceled. After I moved to Arkansas in about 7 years Maryland demanded me to show up there and answer dual voting registration cards in two states. I canceled the Maryland voting as a loose end and moved on with my life here.FireLotus Thanks this. -
You'll still be training years from now bud.
