I'm not a trucker, I'm a screenwriter writing a film with a truck driver character, in just a few scenes. Does anyone still use the CB? If so, I'm looking for someone willing to record about an hour of typical CB use and send it to me via email. Anyone willing? --Dan

All you need is a constant stream of profanity, racist slurs and homophobic rants...an occasional "shaddap stupid" will add authenticity.

No email needed.
Buy a cb radio, find a truckstop and sit near it listening to it. The larger the city the better. Try Chicago, Dallas, Houston to start.
HEYBABY YOU WANNA COMPANY!? It's not what you think in a wholesome request. It's a straight up in your face proposal for a illegal paid rendezvous to consummate one of the oldest trades in human kind.
Rants, Bad words (Really bad profanity... sometimes combined to make some really ... henious combination of words that should be a high crime just to utter.) the sort that will destroy your young sons before they had a chance to mature and corrupt your daughters before you can protect them against changes during teenage years.... And inflict a really terrible weight to your spouse who now knows how to speak just so to sink a large sword into your soul just with words.
I spent most of my time with the radio down low. So that it mutters. I happen to be deaf and to me it's a valuable life saving tool. Lives have been saved with it. But most of the time it's down volume at a low level. I might use it 10 minutes of every day and night spent rolling on the road. Only if I need to.
}Times have changed forever. The CB we learned in the 70's is NOT the CB today. It is a vector for criminal behavior and a vector for many pathways of sickness and depraved behavior expressed in words and sometimes unspeakable and disgusting acts. Why do I have such a filthy evil box inside that cab?
Well... CB's go with trucking. You cannot have one without the other.quatto, Broke Down 69, guest writer and 1 other person Thank this. -

Holy Hell @rabbiporkchop you could've eased him into West Memphis, that place is a graduate level course in depravity. He's likely to need a stiff drink and a support group if he made it through all that.
RockinChair, Cottonmouth85, Medevac69 and 4 others Thank this. -
Btw...Deadbolt rocks. Everytime I hear them it makes me think I'm in a Quentin Tarantino movie. Not sure why but it does.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
