Just do an at home sleep study. The cost is much lower, can be done much sooner, and the doctor who reads the results can prescribe a CPAP if needed. The below link is for one of a few reputable companies offering the at home sleep study.

As I said previously, getting this question of having or not having sleep apnea answered is better if done now. This way you do not have this issue hampering your attempt to get hired now instead of sometime in the future. Far too many DOT medical examiners are erring on the side of caution if they suspect a driver may have sleep apnea (large neck and/or high BMI).

i called the dc safety person where I applied at, finally today. after finding out my cigna insurance will make me pay $1,200 towards doctor sleep study home or in lab and cpap. so i said like me save $1,200 lol so i called. i was advised to not be concerned or to worry myself about the 17/35 wm requirement. that they only go by what the doctor says and not a wm rumor that has been going around. this is what was told to me on the phone. so i hope this is really true. then if i make the team then i can do the sleep well program if needed

Yeah I just got something in the mail the other day from Walmart wanting me to do the sleep study, fully paid by Walmart. I learned along time ago to never volunteer for anything though.

For the record I had 16 years in the industry when I was hired on. Had only been with my previous employer for 3+ years.
