Went in there today heard they were bought out by someone else... tech is working on a radio and a Texas star 500 is sitting on the counter. He finishes the radio and tells the driver only run the linear at half power. Guess he was matching the radio to the linear the linear to the radio or he at least thought he was ??? I ask him a question about Anderson connecters and 0/4 ought welding cable which is what I use. Says we use 4ga. Cable only and they sell their 4ga. Cable linear hook up kit. Anyways the guys a ### and has a smart mouth. Takes a awful lot to actually piss me off. But I'd have no problem ripping his head off and Shi---ting down his throat. Don't need people's attitude and arrogance in this world especially if their in business... their installer is pretty cool their so called tech is a p.o.s. they have a decent selection of product i will say that. This is just my 2cents and take on that shop.

 

Hell you can probably answer my question trying to find out if I can use the 0/4 ought welding cable with the sb175 Anderson instead of the sb350 I was using... need to know if the thick cable will go into the 175... you get my drift ....

 

My thoughts exactly but they don't belong breathing our air... real good people with good intentions deserve it not them...know nothing about that tech but he's probably a snipper clipper.. whack hack and Jack yer radio type tech.

 

Proper deadkey to begin with

 

Depends on if it's a straight 4/6 or 8 pill.... or a radio that has to have the linear with a pair of 2290 pills in it..... straight 4/6 or 8 pills you buy a radio to drive the amp/linear.... the 2290 pills are used to push the linear/amp like you would use for a cobra 29..... the right deadkey the radio does is HUGE when it comes to a linear/amp....point is too not too overdrive the radio or the linear.......................

 

It's really more like don't overdrive the linear.... a cobra 29 costs $100 the linear will cost you the real $$$ and all the cable/wire and connecters and fuses needed....
