If you are a company driver for Transwood its probably a good job. As a owner operator however, it sucks. Tons of detention time and they say they will pay you for it, but they don't. Our drivers were able to get one load a day and 10-20 hours of detention almost every day. We never saw a penny of the detention pay. Can't run a truck on one load a day. 100% recommend stay away from here.

I can't say I'd ever work for a company whose name sounds like what a crossdresser is packing under their skirt.
TB John Thanks this. -
Thats the foundation of keeping wheels turning by not killing your drivers and yes your log books with bad dispatching and management of simple logisitics sitting a truck thinking you'll get a new set of hours with nothing to show for the waste of equipment and your hours. Yes they are also the companies hours which most of you forget.
I see a tax scam or loss in progress. Both in the gray side of legal.
I'd be looking for a safe job if I were one of their drivers. Been in this game to long to not have seen it before the doors close by choice or by cops/lawyers and drivers left holding a truck belonging to a repo company or the IRS!
Ask anyone who has driven to the yard and have cops meet you at the gate!
Yes I would seriously be getting away from this BFI when warned!

I've been a driver with Transwood since 2012. Transwood has many terminals located all over the country many of which are dedicated to serving just one company. It's clear to me that success here depends greatly on which terminal you work out of. At my terminal we are running our ##### off and have been for the last 3 years. We've got guaranteed weekly pay, we are paid for all detention time and deadhead is paid at the same rate as loaded. Health insurance is a little mediocre and the 401k plan pretty decent. New trucks every 4 years and now they all have APU's and inverters and underbunk fridges. It ain't perfect but earning $90,000 plus per year sure does help.
ppbr2001 Thanks this.
