What I did was to build a simple regulator for 5 amps 5 volts and used that, the only thing it didn't work on was my ancient Dephi XM radio, that takes 6 volts and needs a special coax connector.
OH and today my plug in iphone car charger that cost me $20 died, this make three in the last year.bored silly Thanks this. -

Craig, if you mess with antennas and have used a soldering iron, putting together a little 12 volt to 5 volt power "converter" is as easy as it gets. -

I can and do sometimes use my ciggy lighter plug to charge my cell and gps..Takes a lil longer but a slower charge is better..If i could do something with the noise my hid ballasts create ill be happy..
