Just put a Pyro on mine and am going to get my trailers. What are you guys seeing for normal exhaust temp? Which model Cat? Where is your sensor located?

MXS acert, post turbo. Highest I've seen my exhaust temp go to is around 1,000 on a hard pull. I am running a tune on mine so I do scan that gauge a lot.
Running down the road it ranges from 600-900 degrees.
When I get in some hills I do downshift a gear to rev up the rpm's, helps keep the exhaust temps down, even though the engine will pull it in the high gear.spsauerland, Oxbow, snowman_w900 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Highest I have seen is a little over 800 2006 acert c15 cat 550 hp I pull 140,000 lbs through the mountains

950* to 1000* is the highest, but I start backing out a bit @ 950. May be apples to oranges though as I have B model mechanicals. Post turbo, and at elevations up to 10,000 ft. which I find has as much or more to do with exhaust temperatures than ambient temperature.

There is more drop because of the two turbos, a single turbo engine may only see between 200-300 drop.
I myself would not want to see 1000 post turbo very often especially for an extended period of time. -
Twin turbos you're most likely loosing 500+ degrees from the turbos and acert motors have steel pistons so prolonged temps of 1500+ in the cylinder head are normal.
SAR Thanks this. -
No that is not normal, a factory 625 doesn't get much over 1300 in the manifold.
SAR Thanks this.
