Yeah, but DOT officers are not always correct, and don't know individual company policies. I've specifically had 2 out of 4 give me incorrect information regarding the CSA system in the last 12 months.
Any one can help me ?

Wow!so for safety just report to my company !
-
This doesn't go on your record so I wouldn't report it.I had a couple over weight tickets and never reported them to my company.
-
Tell them. Many years ago hubby got one working for Swift. We paid it, and the company didn't hassle us over it. They did want a copy, though. So make sure you get that turned in.
On the load securement, I hear ya, driver. Pre-sealed loads are a crap shoot. That is the reason we stopped running hazmat. I, as the driver, have the right to inspect the load and securement. They didn't want to break the seal to let me and I'd turn down the load. They didn't like that and I wouldn't give up my right to inspect. The extra .05 a mile won't make or break me, find another sucker.G13Tomcat, Lepton1, wilson law and 1 other person Thank this. -

Just curious, but all of you who are advising him not to follow his company policies and procedures,...
if you owned a trucking company would you hire yourself?would you want drivers who don't follow the policies and procedures of the company you own, when they drive your truck?Express12$, G13Tomcat, Lepton1 and 2 others Thank this. -
Every company is different the companies I drove for wasnt worried about overweight tickets as much as moving violations and accidents. If the OP is worried then he needs to ask his company rather then ppl that dont drive for that company.
-
I think he needs to figure out his companies policies. Like I said, many companies want to know within 24 hours of police/DOT contact. If this is the case, I would inform the company, undoubtedly. On the off chance that swift doesn't want to know for something like an overweight ticket. I would advise against opening ones mouth. But yes, more than likely swift wants to know immediately, and if they figure it out from anyone other than the horses mouth, OP probably won't like how they handle it.Lepton1 Thanks this.

I would venture to guess that even though these companies didn't care much about an overweight, they still required that any police or DOT contact be reported in a timely fashion.

You could be right that's why it's important to find all this out during orientation and read the policy hand book.
