that is a WHOLE NOTHER THREAD! lol but they do run. there isn't a bunch of info floating around on them since they are a small, tight knit company but lack of info on the web is usually a good thing.
I used to run reefer back wen I started driving and my family owned reefer trucks. I grew up in the "wait forever to load and run like hell" produce field. lol I miss those days sometimes.
if you havn't driven in awhile I don't know if they will hire you, like was stated they are fairly picky. but it doesn't hurt to check and your situation is exactly the kind they like to hear.
Heck get mama a license then you can run two log books

My buddy MM pretty much covered it all. I know things about certain companies...well...just cuz I do.lol. I just have been blessed with an excellent memory and perceptive mind. I don't forget anything I hear or read.
I will just say this...I have talked to dozens of Western drivers over the years. I have never met one that wasn't happy there. I have also never met a driver that is an EX-Western driver. That has got to say something about them. -

rug trucker, that is for their government hauls, and they are picky about who they hire for those runs, you have to have military clearance and all kinds of clearences to run in that division at western. and the trucks have 1/2" thick shatter proof lexan, or somthin, on all the windows and 1 person has to be with the truck at all times.

I know this is an old thread, but I believe Western is the company that runs the armored tractor trailers. Very high value loads!
