    Not really. Plenty of portly flatbedders out there. Pay isn't what it used to be, my last couple years pulling a skateboard worked more made less.

    If I can make about a grand a week (about what I'm at now) I'd like the more physical work. And I've always been big. I just don't want to be fat. Yes there's a diffrence.

    Just continue to watch your diet, and try to walk like you stated. You didn't pack on the weight overnight. It will slowly come off.
    Trust me crawling up over loads throwing tarp in the rain 40 degrees with the wind blowing 20mph isn't fun.
