I know i can do better i sideband than am nut i shoulda been able to get more range.. -
I have a stryker 490 and I love it...i am going to match it up with the SR-A10 antenna.. (Steel Rods CB Shop) in Remington Indiana is a well known cb repair shop and they USE and Recommend the SR-A10 antenna. The only thing they said was that this antenna is very ground hungry....so you have to make sure its grounded well

If thats the case if your running it on something like a newer international or freightliner it may not do the trick..
Not that i know alot about ant but never ever did hear someone use the term "ground hungry" for an antenna..rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
Most antennas actually are.. let alone the truck.........

I k o they need a ground as per say ut that term makes it sound like it meed more than most..Everyone keeps sayin how good it is but im not convinced its any better than most..
Its like folks are expecting to get amazeing results with a piece of string then go to the stryker ant and say how amazeing it is..
Not found one comparision done, its all by word of mouth from your average joe..
Its like sayin your xxx reaches out and rec further and clearer than anyone and you compared it to a basic cobra 19..

I just put a browning BR-78 on my pete after having a nightmare of a time with my MM-9. I didn't even have to do anything but put it on the stud mount and put the stinger all the way in and it was a flat match. The antenna cost me 28 bucks.
