I am saying if the car was legally parked it quite possibly would not have been hit. I see your point hence the part of my post you missed.

 

Its not okay but that leo...and insurance will fight it out and it can ens up being your fault and the owner of the parked cars fault....honestly...seen that happen with 2. 4-wheelers...

 

If i was to tell my boss right now that i had that in the past....he'd say...well insurance doesnt know about it so idc lol

 

Is it okay to park a vehicle illegally?? especially in front of a commercial DMV ? It goes both ways

 

You can rationalize how ever you want. The illegally parked vehicle may get a ticket, during the course of the accident investigation. But, they will not be held culpable for the accident ... That's your fault. You were in control of a moving vehicle. It is incumbent on you to be cognizant of your surroundings and drive accordingly.
