Golden Gate Bridge to get net to catch suicides

Um, WHY do that? If people want to kill themselves, let them. Sheesh. Heck, instead of doing that build them a diving board!

 

If the netting is installed the people will just find another way to commit suicide. I think the netting would be a huge waste of tax dollars.

And would also take away from the beauty of the bridge itself... And how many millions of $$$ will it cost? At least with California's budget troubles, it might be a good long time before it get's funded.. Although I'm sure anything done on the bridge comes out of federal moneys..

 

LOL, no kidding, they don't have any money, yet they want to build a #### net? WTF! Dear Lord, build them a CHEAP diving board and be done with it. Heck, probably could build a board for maybe a couple hundred bucks and don't even have to keep it up because if it breaks, well...then they still get what they want. Sheesh.

 

But yet California is asking for 7 billion dollars... How about cutting ideals like this that they have.. Quit paying for all the socialist crap they want and stop asking the rest of America to pay for it....

 

...all for a net! I know what I could do with that much money!

Now, just thinking here....thousands of dollars that taxpayers would more than likely have to pay for medical treatment for these so called depressed fools that are probably jumping just for the attention IF they had this net VS not having to support their lazy butts for years to come.

Heck I think Imma go tell the govt that I need $40 mil for a NET....a nice financial NET that would allow me to not have to worry about the failing economy....Those in favor, say I.
