The big LTL outfits all require a tank endorsement, but I have never seen a ABF/Holland/Estes/Saia tank semi trailer.
-
The tank endorsement is required for portable tanks holding 119 gallons or more of a liquid, IIRC.
Freight lines routinely haul chemical totes which hold 300-350.brian991219 and Longarm Thank this. -
Construction worker. I drove for a construction company. The other cdl holders didn't seem like drivers , I found out they weren't. The construction company told them they would give them a pay raise if they got there cdl's. They went and got there cdl's. I found out how regular humans lived for a while lol !!!!
Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
News Van
Well, mine didn't need a CDL, but I think some larger vans or portable studios and satellite uplink trucks do need a CDL B or C. -
Thanks, Mack. I haven't pulled freight in awhile, I was unaware the reg had changed.
I looked it up, and you are correct. 119 or more in a single container, or over 1000 gallons all together. -
That thousand gallon rule, did the containers have to be over a certain size? Or just total regardless of container size?
-
Driver for mobile brothel count?
AModelCat Thanks this. -
The way I read it,1000 gallons total. So, 100 ten gallon buckets of dimethyloxyblatnobenzathone and you better have that X endorsement, mister!
