Just wanted some general information about TMC here because im graduating from a trucking school soon getting my CDL. I am very interested in TMC mostly because they pay by percentage rate. If you have your hazmat or twic do they generally pay you more? What is the average pay check per week do you expect? Are you home on the weekends? Is there a bonus involved when you sign with TMC? How hard is it working with TMC? And does overloads pay more with TMC? Again just some information I would like to know before getting pre-hired.

    Thanks!!! :)

Very picky; hard to get into. If your nose is clean, since birth; ya may be good to go. No dis to the company or yourself, just know a few blokes (many, actually) that they've turned away. Keep your eye on the prize; apparently they are an excellent company or couldn't be so picky. Best of luck.

@Gunner75 has a thread on here about his time with TMC. Straight shooter tells it like it is. It's worth looking up. He might also stop by and answer any questions you might have

I think they are biased against older CDL holders. I am retired from two professional careers (military and law enforcement) and went through a private CDL school to get my license. Their recruiter visited our school every couple of weeks to pitch what a great company TMC is. Out of 30+ companies I spoke with, they were the only ones to turn me down flat with no explanation as to why my app was rejected. A fellow veteran (retired Marine NCO) who was close to me in age was also turned down with no explanation.

And they do that all the time. It was explained to me that it's because they get so many applicants that they just weed them out. Kinda like a lottery.

Local company in my area, Honda of America, best employer around, gets so many applicants that they place the person's social security number into the database. Each Mont the computer randomly generates a specified account of numbers. I was in the system for 6 year never got called. My daughter's friend's dad applied a year ago, and 2 months later he gets an interview. So I wouldn't take it personal

I applied to Honda over 6 years ago, as well. No reply, ever.

When they accepted me I was 53 with a CDL for 30+ years. I was in highway construction making my career change to trucking.
