:biggrin_25525: Tell ya what......let's get started on the 2 "les'" at the school.....Why did you stay at the school if you had such a bad experience? It was a choice that you made...Right? Sounds like you might have just not done very well at the school and it just put a bad taste in your mouth. Some people arent truck driving material....Maybe this was the case??

You sound like a whinner to me.

When I went to school I was smart enough to keep my job it was hard on me but atleast I had money for bills, food, etc.
The county workforce center paid my full tuition for my school also. I was not about to go to company sponsored training.

About your road test at ffe all they wanted to see is if you can drive the truck and that was all they new that you will need a trainer to polish up your skills.

Now of course my job was able to work with me once a week on my hours and the rest of the time it was soo early in the am that it did not interfere with my school hours.

I also managed to get enough sleep daily to function and drive 30-45 min each way to school plus get good marks in the school.

Ps this was only last year.

FANCYPANTS,i believe theres people thats been there 10 to 20 years, owner-operators to boot, question, there web site says canada and mexico, i now we don't drive into mexico, meaning your average truck driver don't now about FFE,also no (visa) for canada , its a pain to go there, there map shows preferred area to haul, i'm in pittsburgh,pa. so i'm in there both dry and reefer hiring area, does'nt say anything about hazmet, got rid of that, i take it there reefer loads deliver at night like meat loads lumber unload, used to work for trans am back in the 90's, been away sence 2004 thinking of coming back this summer when wages go up, looking at FFE, SWIFT, MILLIS TRANSFER, thanks

Would you say FFE is a good starter company for a rookie? Would you say they are better than Swift and C.R. England?

Not for you, no. Your punctuation and spelling are much too good for FFE.

You gotta be 23 for Swift. I am only 21. So looks like CRE may be my only choice.
