Captain, I've been noticing more and more "Big M" trucks in my area. Are they expanding? And curious if you're doing a lease this time.
I'm baaaaaack!!!!!!!!

They are trying to do what they're calling a "controlled growth cycle" meaning they are expanding but not so fast that it affects service or driver support.
They no longer lease trucks, having been burned many times by drivers leaving them holding the bag on expensively spec'ed machines (quitting, abandoning equipment, trashing the unit--you know) . The lease units on the road now are left over from before. Mr. M says he has no plans to lease again for the foreseeable future.
He will, however, let me have a dog with no pet deposit.Pintlehook Thanks this. -
I hasten to point out that TLI does have a decent program as far as leases go. I know several people who are doing well there. If I had not gotten burned so badly by an unthinking planner I would still be there. Their screwup happened to me at the worst possible time and cost them a good driver, by their own admission. It does not mean they are a bad company. They are still light years ahead of Celadon (that isn't saying much, I know).

Night off, back at it tomorrow. Was going to do laundry but I just did a load two days ago so just going to get a shower in the morning.
No bigger truck available for me at this time, but I got on the list for one of the 2018 Freightliner Cascadias coming in a couple of months. I am a patient man.
Need another trip to Indy to get my license upgraded and pick up my new Platinum credit card. Going to pick up The Hot Chick in May for a trip to the beach, to scatter my father's ashes.
More updates as events warrant. That is all.Last edited: Apr 10, 2017

625 miles from receiver, but will need to stop a little short tomorrow since they don't have overnight parking (0500 delivery). Gonna park it about 100 miles short and move in bright and early. Two stops right in Colorado Springs then whatever comes next.
