They treat their warehouse workers like dogs. I live near Mt sterling and they can't keep help they are importing workers from Ghana and that is the truth.it isn't all rainbows and sunshine.plus here in central Illinois they have a big turnover of drivers.

Says the guy who joins the forum on Monday, posts once and bails.
Where do people come up with this stuff? They aren't importing workers from Ghana and driver turnover was around 11% last I checked.
Please, show us some facts or proof.

You'll be fine at DOT, it's a great family owned company with good benefits. Of course no place is perfect, there will always be someone who is disgruntled and says otherwise, but it's a good company to be with. If you have any questions you can pm me.

In regards to the question about how long you train with someone else, it depends on how much experience you have and what type... Typical training duration is 6 weeks at our DC. If you've got a lot of driving experience with a company that delivers and picks up in a similar manner, we are ok letting a driver go solo after 4 weeks. I've run into people that I didn't train myself who had enough experience already that we let go solo after 2 weeks in a trainer truck. Every DC is different though. I've heard Indianna's standard training period is 12 weeks in a trainer truck..........

I just talked to a guy at Sage truck driving school in Muncie Indiana and he tells me that he had sent some people to DOT and they loved it.

I see they have 4 on and 4 off , anyone doing that here.

Also thought he said some are home daily ???

Any info on pay and equipment and how hard to pull doubles ?
