    As some of y'all know I have been researching this industry and companies to almost the point of exhaustion. With your help and the research I was able to conduct I was abke to narrow my search down to a handful of companies to contact. I am proud to say that I received a prehire this morning on the contingency that I obtain my CDL. This company was number one on my list and you can't imagine the relief I am feeling. Now I can truely focus on getting my CDL knowing that I have a position waiting for me. Thanks everyone for the help.

    By the time you finish CDL school and do continuing research you may go in a completely different direction and different company. I did.

    Sorry to rain on your parade but a prehire is no more a job offer than i am a merman typing this from Atlantis. My long dead grandmother could have 10 prehires within a few weeks.

    What's Atlantis' immigration policy like? I've always liked the beach... and I've heard that the ladies are gorgeous, but closing the deal with them apparently poses some logistical problems. Got any mermaids with the fishy part on top, and the lady part on the bottom? :p

    You're a ###### downpour, dude. A prehire isn't much, sure, but it doesn't really take much to get hired, these days, does it? Let the man have his happy moment, before he realizes that he hates whatever carrier he finally settled on... :p

    If he wants to get all pumped up over junk mail, so be it. At least he knows it's junk mail now. Besides, he'll probably fill out a bunch of apps at school and get a bunch more junk mail - i mean prehires.
