Cant believe no one noticed that he was going so fast that he came out of his shoes!

Ok, so tragic situation, sad for the family but I dont feel sorry for stupidity and thats exactly what this is. Everytime I see one of these crazy people, I say, "We will see them on the side of the road in a little while." That's all they are asking for with their cheap thrills....Death.

No guarantee there on the shoes.

It may have been because they were removed to check for any pulses with the disturbing of the entire scene. In other words confirmation of death.

they also could have been pulled off while the truck was trying to stop.
I mean the truck was still in motion when the bike hit it.

WOW! Please remove your head from your #####. Harley riders are real riders? Give me a break. Around here 99.9% of Harley riders do not wear a full face helmet, 90% wear no helmet at all, and 50% wear no protective clothing at all. Oh yeah, real bikers do not ride ridiculously loud and under powered bikes. I would take a 60 mph crash with my leathers (real leathers, not the decoritive ones that Harley guys wear) and a helmet, over a 30 mph crash with shorts and sandals, which seem to be the popular protective gear for Harley riders. I am a sport bike rider, and have done many stupid things in the 10 years I have been riding. That all changed last year when I had to call Med Flight and watch my friend be air lifted out of a field after a deer jumped out in front of him while he was riding right in front of me. It made me realize that anything can happen at any moment that can change your life forever. A lifetime in a wheelchair, or worse, is not worth a few seconds of thrills. Luckily, I became a responsible rider before something serious happened to me. All teenagers think that they are invinsible. Unfortunatly most teenagers ride high powered sport bikes instead of an underpowered Harley. This does not mean that they are stupid riders who deserve to die, as you think. I am baffled that by law a motorist must wear a seatbelt, but helmets are not required for motorcyclists.

I believe it should be choice on both. My exhubby survived an accident because he was NOT wearing a seatbelt. EMTs and LEOs both told him thats why he is still alive. YES, he was ejected and hit the windshield 7 different times but the truck was so mangled that you couldnt tell what it was. They couldn't put a count on how many times the truck rolled, the motor was flipped sideways, the bed was bent in half, the cab was crushed and he broke the gear shifter with his hip. Had he of been wearing a belt it would have crushed him. He was only ticketed for failure to maintain lane.
Even with this, I faithfully wear my seatbelt and have never rode a bike without a helmet, jeans and long sleeve shirts, but I still believe it should be choice.

There are states that require helmets for motorcyle riders. Wisconsin is one of them.

I've seen this photo countless times, and I don't think it's real. First off his shoes aren't on, and going from 60 to zero mph is not going to pull shoes off. He had a nice riding jacket on so I'm assuming he would of had good tennis shoes or boots on. They could of checked his pulse at his neck or arms. The helmet's faceshield is still intact after supposedly hitting a trailer door at 60mph. (120mph - 60mph). His hankerchief is neatly tucked in his pants. They do these staged photo shoots every now and then and I believe this is one of them.
