Kids Pulled From Transgender Teacher's Class

California does not surprise me at all..

 

Ok one now matter if the teacher changed from a women to a man it dose not mean there not still a good teacher . i do fell though that i would wont to know this as happen but if the school could not do it one thing i do fill if this teacher is makeing this change to there self then they should of told the parents . i mean if your going to have a change like that in your life then i would think they would not be asham and let the students and parents know . now i would not say this teacher should not beable to teach if there was no reason to let them go befor this but i do fill they should of be told and i bet you a lot of them would not of pulled there kids had they been told . it is call respect to your students and parents

 

If the teacher is capable of teaching and doing a good job what's the difference? I do think that since it is an elementary school, perhaps the teacher could have transferred to a different school.That would be hard to explain to little kids.Most middle and high schoolers could care less. My kids know all kinds of folks...gay, straight, bi, transgendered...and they just accept them for themselves. Some folks are born in the wrong body. Fortunately for me, I am in the right body...just wish it was smaller! Lol!

 

I see no problem with them continuing to teach either, but the parents should have at least been notified. A move to a different school where the teacher was not known may also have been in order. That is not always possible with the music teachers, as in a lot of places there is one music teacher for several schools. It would have taken me a little bit of thinking to explain that to my kid, but I would have figured out a way to explain it.

 

Sounds like a good teacher for that "gay friendly" school in Chicago .

 

I would prefer to do our best to let them stay on the west coast...

 

Hmmm. transgendered people are not usually gay..just in the wrong body...

 

the freak wouldn't be teaching my kid.

 

That school is intended for gays , lesbians , bisexuals , and transgenders . Of course they are not sexually discriminatory and would also welcome straight students .
