Comfort Pro Apu Issues (solved)

I'd go with glow plugs. My first thought. Long cranks hard fire.

If your generator is giving any sort of voltage it's not your generator. No capicitor your generator gives off 4 to 6 volts. Bad capicitor shows a voltage of 109vac to like 90 ish. People try and compensate for this by idling up which then changes your Hz (frequency). Your generator is supposed to be putting out 120vac +- 10v. At 60Hz (+-1.9).

 

You have a fuel primer 10mm bolt. Crack that while cranking. Close when not cranking.. you should see the air bubbles then straight fuel.

 

So, short answer, buy a different APU if I have the option?

 

Go for it. I like the comfort pro. I'd gladly take any off anyone's hands. With the tripac and others you're just draining and recharging batteries. Which In the long run you'll just be replacing batteries. The comfort pro is a generator system no harm on the batteries and If your alternator ever goes out you can actually use it to "limp home", just my opinion guess I'm a carrier fan boy.

 

A/C turns on and off and says UNDER VOLTAGE ?

 

Needs a new generator link belt. Belt had stretched out.

 

Can a link be taken out ?

 

Yeah you can do that. No telling when is found to break after that though, so you'll need to purchase one as soon as you get the chance..

 

What if my control panel has stopped working? For the comfort pro dcp3

 

Bad connection either at the evaporator box, to the display, or the cat5 cable is damaged. Or bad display.
