I truly understand about the "little things" once you get started on them lol. I ended up totally replacing all the parts of the AG100 on my W900L, plus wheel seal, Timken wheel bearings, brake shoes, drums, S-cams with bushings and seals, brake chambers, rubber air lines to chambers, BR1 valve in the frame, leveling valve for bags, pinion seals and U-joints in jack shaft, yea man it adds up. Would you mind if I share a pic of your truck with a friend who is not on this forum? He owns 2 A models, one is a ex Monfort truck. He is on the road in his 79 short hood now out west.

@W900AOwner this is my friends long hood A, this was before the engine layed down. He had a driver in it and not sure what happened.... but bearings are spun. As you can tell the tanks are made to run all day lol, and night. Be safe out there.
DDlighttruck, W900AOwner, SAR and 2 others Thank this. -
Believe me its the little things that made me say #### it and tear mine down to the frame. I paid peanuts for mine so I look at it like I bought a hood, cab, engine and transmission.

I know that's a LOT of money invested into the rebuilding rear of that truck even when DIY to save on labor. But it's pretty much factory new and years of good trouble free service life ahead. And in a good week or two you'll get it back.SAR, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Cottonmouth85 and 1 other person Thank this.

I should say a good week or two will recover the funds spent on that part of the project but not likely or nearly all of the funds spent
SAR, Oxbow and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
This is just part of the parts lol, not including brake shoes, brake drums and some wheel studs. It should be a good solid 1995 model
.

Let's see the pile left over when your done
OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
Needless to say the brake shoes were returned, and the drums are in the little shop but.... you know what they say about pictures lol. I look forward to seeing your pics @NorthernMechanic when you are about done. I would have rather had an A model but, was not in the cards.DDlighttruck, SAR, rollin coal and 1 other person Thank this.

The rate things are going, count on late summer 2019 before it's even roadworthy. If all goes well, I'll have a rolling chassis and the cab reinstalled this summer. Cab needs quite a bit of TLC though.
Oxbow, SAR and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this. -
Just don't give up! As Founder / President of Vintage Pride I like to see old iron brought back to its former glory. I know we can't save it all but, it's fun trying lol.
