Anyone change these? Does the cab air bag valve bracket need to come out to remove these? At a loss at the moment on to change these, can't find it on google. Any resources or how to's appreciated. For clarity, these are the 4 shocks that mount to the cab and frame.
    Thanks,
    Shane

If you have the Volvo VNL with the Four (4) Cab Shock Setup, you will need to have a 21, 19, 18, and 17mm deep impact sockets and the same sizes in a combination or ratcheting style wrench.. ( You need both sockets and wrenches, because a helper or you yourself needs to hold the nut or bolt on the other side while using a Impact Wrench on the opposite side.

You can do it yourself, but the space underneath the cab is limited and it's difficult to hold and use a Impact Wrench with one hand while trying to hold a wrench with the other.

It is best to use a Impact Wrench as the nuts are Nylock.

You will need to remove the triangular metal bump stops so you can remove the vertical cab shocks.

When you reinstall the vertical cab shocks you will need to disconnect the cab leveling valve rod so you can manually raise and lower the cab springs so you can align the bolt holes up to reinstall the bolts.

To remove the horizontal cab shocks you need to unbolt the cab leveling valve to gain access to the head of the bolts with a deep socket. You do not have to remove the air lines unless you feel you need more clearance.

If the round rubber cab bump stops are cracked and worn out, I would recommend replacing those while you have the triangular metal bump stops removed from the cross member.

The round rubber bump stops are mounted to the underside of the Cab with a Torx bolt. You will need a Torx Bit socket and ratchet to remove it. I'm not too sure on the size, could be T30 or 35.
