He swerved. He probably would have been much better off if he had hit the deer.
-
Hit the dang deer! Never swerve to miss a deer on the road.
-
or any other animal for that matter.LuckyLady7 Thanks this.

Except moose! Also, don't lay on your airhorn around moose either. A male moose will charge a rig, and considering they are tall enough to easily look over the hood of a large car . . .

Should of hit it.
Insurance company will say he fell asleep and went off. -
Yeah dont ever swerve around a deer or any animal, they arent worth it . I just hit one yesterday at 3 am on I-75 just south of the Mackinac Bridge. Didnt even do anything to my volvo hit it with my foglight going about 30 and the thing stood up and ran away.

Better be deer droppings in the area or it will be listed as his falling asleep.
Years ago; in MS. before deer herds were pravalent it was a "cow" or a "mule" I was trying to dodge.....
Better be cow / mule dung and a fence wire down. -
I drove a lot of country roads and Curry would post notices all over the driver's room- Hit the deer, never swerve. One of the company owners hit several deer within a week. There is far less danger in hitting the deer than swerving. I can tell you that running over a deer makes a mess. Had one run into my trailer and I ran over it. It would have made a great horror film.
LuckyLady7 Thanks this. -
A friend of mine took out a moose and said that his rig looked like it had been in a blood bath. Now he runs with a big-### moose bumper on the front of his truck.
