The biggest problem I see with drivers is doing their unloads.. for some reason they would rather use 1 hose and air a load off for 4 hours.. Instead of Useing pump and I'm done in 50 minutes.. couple extra hoses isn't that bad..or maybe they don't read the unloading instructions (remarks) Idk

-
Okay!!! I habe my interview with schneider tomorrow!
Is there any thing i should ask about!?! I dont know what tanker is about as far as how pay makes up.
She said 20-25% of my pay will be made up from something other then cpm. Starts with an A i think.KillingTime Thanks this. -
@Chinatown you're a tanker arent you?
-
Yes. She's probably talking about accessorial pays which are really good in tankers. Adds a lot to the paychecks. My milage pay was only .36 cpm but still made $65K per year and some of the drivers at the terminal made $72K.
-
What else should i ask about. She said between 1500-2000 miles at 40 something cents and accessorial pay made up 20-25%. What is that?
Should i ask about anything else? Ive never done tanker before so idk what to ask about -
@Thull can answer the questions about that companys accessorial pays. Where I worked the pays may be a little different.
-
Okay. Thank you! Any tips or tricks?
-
On interstate exit/entrance ramps drive 5 - 10 mph slower that the posted speed limit if your trailer is loaded. The reason for this is liquid loads will surge and dry bulk loads tend to be top heavy.
Tanker school will teach you their policies and other tricks of the trade.
