You might check out Superior Carriers in Cincinnati, or the food grade side of the company in Dayton.
Stormmc2 Thanks this. -
Thank you! I will definitely look into it. I was looking at a company called USXL but there was only 2 posts in this whole site.

It is 2 weeks in coraopolis PA, west side of Pittsburgh little bit.. classroom crap , paperwork etc then they teach you air and pump unloads till your sick of it.. some guys need a lot training on this I guess.. it's just simple though really. Then 2 weeks out with a local or otr guy. Oh and after this is done you will go back to caraopolis to test out again. Can't remember what all testing was on.. simple crap though.. so 5 weeks basically in training.. Next you go to work for a month or 2 then you go to coraopolis or Houston or even Keasby nj to test again on offloads to get something called Nalco certified.. all this means is now you have to call to tell some fool on the phone ur ready to unload and all is wonderful. I haven't figured this out yet
lol.. I hate Nalco cause I know I gotta unload everytime I see the word.. I rather be lazy for 1.5 hours
Stormmc2 Thanks this. -
Thats where that 5 weeks comes into play. Maybe it would be shorter if i had more time else where? Like if I did a different account for them instead of tanker. Or maybe a tanker company out of columbus

You were OTR for a month, or for a month at a time?
-
I went home after the 2 weeks training in coraopolis for couple days, I only had to be in Charlotte for my local trainer on Monday, and then every weekend I went home till I left with my own truck to go take the final test stuff.. but I was kinda lucky I guess since I drove my own car I played it how I wanted
-
Do you know I worked there 10 months & never got Nalco Certified?? lol I was glad though for that exact reason lmao. They never mentioned it so neither did I! & it's called "Safe Track"
-
I will be taking my own car as well. Im only about 150 miles. Its still up in the air. The money is what i want..i need to support my family
-
They will reimburse for mileage. I drive from Baton Rouge, La to Houston in my car for the training. Just keep your receipts. But overall it's a pretty good company. I would just make sure about the whole 6 week thing. Hopefully it's not that bad at home in case you did have to be gone for 6 weeks. I know it would be tough but you can do it!
