Same thing in Texas as well, definitely would be anywhere near the top of my list to drive for.

They're hiring in my area and their ad says $2,000 sign on bonus, home daily, $1100 - 1400 per week.. The ads been running for months and I knew there must be a reason why. I ventured down to their terminal a few days ago and man whatta ruined down place. Rusted and broken fence, even the signs saying Central Transport on the office and in the yard are barely legible and very faded out, the trucks look like their on their last leg, the office building is in shambles with a very worn and broken 70's theme going, huge weeds over growing the fence and the place overall looks like something out of a scary movie. I went on in anyway and talked to one of the guys sitting behind a desk and he went through how they pay which is so much from point A to point B. Seemed like to me that if you were lucky and didn't have any issues that caused a delay it might pay around $20 per hour.. He said I'd be on the dock for probably 6 hours per day at $21 per hour.

They must be well-known to the DOT in the STL area because I always see those guys getting inspections in the city and see a lot of them around back at the coops as well

Lol. They're boasting that same ad here in the Poconos. They claim home daily, but one of the guys I work with had a friend who went to work for them a few years ago. Kept him out for 30 days in a day cab putting him up in hotels. When he got back he immediately quit. It does look like they have new trucks but their trailers still look like they get the run around. Take it for what it's worth. I was looking at them as a possible home daily job but his eyes lit up like a Christmas tree. They were as wide as dinner plates when he told me the story about his buddy. I have no reason to doubt him. YMMV.

The op was asking about Phoenix specifically

All of the linehaul trucks I see coming out of Phx,Tucson,California are newer clean looking peterbilts and Internationals .

The trailers do look very bad though with all that bracing and horrible tires

    Mike2633 Thanks this.
