Ive been seriously thinking about getting my cdl a or b. Originally I just wanted my b licence but im now starting to realize class a will probly be the better way to go.
So, I'm in the Hartford, CT area and have been looking at different schools but really don't know if their worth the money, or if i should just look for a company to hire me on as a student and train me to get my cdl.
As for the schools im looking at, they would be Baran Institute or Nettts (new england tractor trailer). Has any one had experience with these schools? I know their both around 7k to attend, but im leaning toward baran because i can get a 10% discount.
Any experiences or imput please help.
Thanks

NETTS has been around but alot of people are complaining to many students not enough instructors. I'd check baran out and also look for a tech school, college or look for the closes SAGE SCHOOL. THEY DO 1 ON 1 INSTRUCTING. I'M current going through the TEAMSTERS TRAINING ACADEMY IN RHODE ISLAND. I chose them over NETTS,plus I'm going through unemployment WIA program. Best of Luck,Keep us posted.

I am contemplating company vs private school, and I'm also covered under the WIA program. I'm also an AFL/CIO member (AFA) if that means anything. My Airline went under but I'm still considered a union member they tell me.
Can you tell me how the RI Teamsters school was?
Thanks
